Collect, refurbish, data wipe, remarket

CTG Circular offers a sustainable and affordable solution for ICT materials. From collecting material to erasing data and restoring laptops and mobile devices: ICT material is given a full second life. Because ICT is a basic right, which should be accessible to everyone. With as little impact on the environment as possible.

‘CTG’ stands for Close the Gap. For CTG Circular, it is important to close the digital gap, because ICT is a basic right. It provides access to an invaluable amount of information, which in turn opens doors in the labour market. If we want to organise the digital society in a fair and social way, it is crucial that everyone has access to that basic right. After all, a product you reuse costs less, making more ICT products accessible to more people.

‘Circular’ refers to the circular thinking that is central to the Kontich-based company. There are 11 million of us in Belgium, but there are many more laptops in circulation. So we can perfectly continue with what we already have. This way, we have to look less for raw materials and virgin mining is reduced.

So the economic, social and environmental impact of ICT material reuse is huge.
How does it work? CTG Circular collects used material, registers it and then removes all data to restore laptops and mobile devices according to high quality and safety regulations.
