High-end children's fashion with a sustainable heart
Infantium Victoria believes that children's fashion shouldn’t just look good – it should feel good too. That’s why the brand creates 100% organic and vegan children’s clothing. In their pursuit of sustainability, they apply various smart design techniques to minimize fabric waste as much as possible.
Beautiful, ethical, and sustainable
Gothic baby outfits, flowing ball gowns with capes, and mint-green sailor suits – Infantium Victoria’s children’s clothing stands out for its creativity. The brand was founded in 2014 by Belgian designer Dinie van den Heuvel and German Julia Gaydina. With their baby and kidswear, they wanted to offer a beautiful, ethical, and sustainable alternative to mainstream fast fashion. Since 2015, their fashion has been 100% vegan and cruelty-free. The brand uses almost exclusively organic, plant-based materials. Instead of animal-based materials like cashmere and leather, they opt for innovative and stunning alternatives such as fabric made from banana leaves or weeds.
Reducing waste streams
Julie and Dinie revive the age-old tradition and craft of zero-waste pattern design in their creations. By shaping some of their patterns like a fitting puzzle, no fabric scraps are left behind. For the other designs, they cleverly reuse leftover pieces, ensuring optimal use of materials. This not only minimizes textile waste, but also pushes the designers to be creative and innovative. All patterns are handmade by the D'andt atelier in Vilvoorde. Production takes place in Germany, Belgium, and Portugal, and to a limited extent in small-scale ateliers in India.
The Infantium webshop also offers second-hand clothing at a fraction of the original price.
