From washing machine to cooker hood, We.repair repairs your major and minor household electrical appliances easily, quickly and qualitatively.
The lifespan of your electronic appliances
According to a European study, repairing can extend the lifespan of, say, your coffee machine by up to 4 years and your washing machine by up to 6 years. And did you know that in Europe, we throw away an average of 17 kg of e-waste per person every year? A repair not only saves us tons of unnecessary waste but also an average of 43 kg of CO2 emissions compared to buying a new device. Plenty of reasons, then, to invest in repairs. In 2024, the European Parliament approved the 'Right to Repair' legislation, aimed at making repairs more accessible. At We.repair, they’re happy to contribute to that!
The repair tech startup from Vilvoorde, founded by Koen Van Hulle, Filip Van Wonterghem, and Klaas Vos, gladly takes care of your washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, cooktop, coffee machine, or extractor hood at your home. But with an innovative booking platform, video repairs, AI-assisted diagnostics, and extensive automation, they go a step further. We.repair ultimately wants to make repairs just as easy and accessible as buying a new product—so that you truly have a choice and an alternative.
Through their web platform www.werepair.be, they are already active in the triangle between Brussels, Leuven, and Wavre, as well as in the Mechelen and South Antwerp region. For further expansion, they are considering Ghent and more urban areas.
With support from VLAIO
VLAIO business advisors Lore Veelaert and Iris De Tavernier are guiding We.repair on their journey. They connected them with the REuse Lab at the University of Antwerp, advised them to apply for the European Up2Circ subsidy, and serve as a permanent sounding board for testing ideas. In December, We.repair also plans to participate in a FINMIX panel by VLAIO, where they will present their business case to various financial experts.
