About our management
Who steers what at Flanders Circular?
Suppose we ask you 'Have you ever ordered a meal and picked it up or had it delivered to your home?' The chances are very high that you will say 'yes'. Restaurants can now deliver their meals in reusable packaging from futuREproof. You return them to a collection point, the restaurant reuses them for other customers.
CEO Frank Plessers of futuREproof says: "Every year, 135 million tonnes of disposable packaging ends up in landfills or in the environment. In Flanders alone, this amounts to thousands of tonnes. All that waste pollutes our planet. With futuREproof, restaurants can switch to beautiful, reusable packaging made from recyclable materials. Each time the packaging is used, they pay a fee. We now know that our packaging can be used an average of 50 to 100 times before we have to replace it."
FutuREproof's range is extensive. Their premium food bowls are perfect for hot and cold meals. Because they can go in the fridge, freezer and microwave, retain heat very well and are moisture-free, they make food taste better. You can also stack them compactly and high. And with thermally insulated stainless steel cups, sushi bowls, cutlery, pizza, sandwich and burger boxes, restaurants have just about everything they need to pack their meals and drinks. Thanks to the accompanying app, they also easily track where their packaging is and futurREproof keeps their stock constantly up to date.
