Start-up and expansion of food distribution in a rural region

Through food hubs, the Flemish Government is actively pursuing the redistribution of surplus food to people living in underprivileged poverty. To work optimally, these food hubs must be embedded in a network of local organisations with committed volunteers.

In this project, innovative tools will be developed for the rural Kempen region to support and develop the initiatives of volunteers. The focus is on the development of a roadmap, its use in pilot projects and the start-up of learning networks, so that scaling up within Flanders becomes possible.
