About this project

Endless recycling with plaster

Gyproc produces plasterboard intended for use for interiors in renovation and new-build projects. Gyproc plates are the only plasterboard panels in the world to hold a ‘Cradle to Cradle’ certificate.

In principle, plaster can be recycled ad infinitum. The properties of the material that are found in plasterboard are almost identical to the raw materials themselves so, in order to complete the materials circle, you just need to separate the plaster core from the card covering. Which is exactly what Gyproc does; the company recycles at least 25,000 tons of plaster every year.
