Schools usually renew their interiors class by class. When the last class is fully furnished, the furniture in the first class often already has its first scratches and scuffs. With ‘school furnishing-as-a-service’, Dox allows schools to evolve with the needs of pupils and teachers. Schools can enjoy high-quality and durable tables, poufs, chairs, etc. for up to 20 years. If new pupils arrive or teachers want to adjust the learning methods, schools can exchange a number of pieces after 3 years. And after 10 years, Dox reworks the concept. Then the furniture will be given a new home in the school or the company will give it a second life elsewhere.

Modular furnishings
The Dox originals and Dox concepts form a unique yet modular unit. For example, the furniture is on wheels or can be moved around easily. This allows teachers and students to move them quickly and silently if they want to rearrange the rooms completely. All the poufs and tables also fit together, allowing pupils and students to create islands, for example, to work better together. Reusing furniture
Besides adding new furniture, Dox also looks at which ones it can reuse. In Open Primary School De Ark, for example, the project designer chose to make bookcases out of old worktops. At Holy Family Berchem Primary School, the company simply turned the classroom around: there, the steps at the blackboard also became part of the classroom thanks to seating corners. At Antwerp Management School, Dox then combined the existing furniture with a mix of new, vintage and design pieces.
