About our management
Who steers what at Flanders Circular?
Is your closet home to one or more piles of clothes that rarely see the light of day? No surprise: 80% of the time, we only wear about 20% of our wardrobe. Planning a decluttering session? Try swishing. By swapping your clothes, you give unworn purchases or beloved pieces that no longer fit a second life. Swishing.be guides you to swap events in your area.
Good for the Planet and Your Wallet
Swishing made its way from the fashion capital of London. The name? A mix of ‘switching’ (exchanging), ‘shopping,’ and ‘swapping’ (trading). At fun and friendly events, you can swap clothes, shoes, or accessories for new finds. This way, you help reduce the massive textile waste problem while refreshing your wardrobe—without spending a cent.
Swishing is Taking Over Flanders
Swishing.be organizes swap events across Flanders. Each item undergoes a quality check, and based on that, you earn points to pick out new pieces. Any unclaimed items are donated to charity.
Tip: See something and think, “Not for me”? Give it a try anyway—you might stumble upon a hidden gem! If you're unsure, take advantage of style advice to help integrate your new find into the 20% of your wardrobe you actually wear.
Host Your Own Event
Want to set up your own swap? Invite family or friends for a clothing exchange at home. Swishing.be provides all the necessary guidance.
