Who steers what at Flanders Circular?
Windows and exterior doors in need of replacement? All that glass and aluminum, PVC or wood ends up in the landfill. With the GoBag, producer of windows and doors Deceuninck and J.M.C. Containers are changing this. The GoBag is a big bag into which window and door installers can put all the waste from their broken joinery.
Installers save time and money
What do installers normally have to do when they rebuild or renovate? Break everything out, separate the materials and dispose of them in different containers. Or dispose of all the materials in an expensive container for mixed construction waste. With the GoBag, that's a thing of the past and they save time and money. In that bigbag, they can dispose of entire windows and exterior doors. Once J.M.C. Containers has collected the GoBag, Deceuninck separates all the glass, metal, rubber and stone debris from the joinery in its recycling plant.
From PVC waste to new PVC window
Each material is put back into circulation in the most sustainable way possible. The PVC? That can be recycled 8 to 10 times without sacrificing quality. At Deceuninck Recycling, it is broken, finely ground and washed. Then they take out any remaining other plastics and separate the white PVC from the other colors. As a final step, Deceuninck melts the ground PVC and turns it into granulates. From these granulates, Deceuninck makes new window profiles or other PVC products.
The GoBag itself? Which is made from recycled materials. A GoBag that's worn or torn? That, too, is recycled again.
