Ruilwinkel Het Wisselke in Hasselt is an exchange store for baby and toddler stuff. Parents can bring in used items in exchange for stamps which they can use to get new material.
Children, especially young children, outgrow their clothes very quickly. At the same time, there are always parents who are looking for new items. Therefore, used materials that are still in good condition can be brought to the exchange store Het Wisselke. Everything is welcome: from toys and sleeping materials, to care materials and transportation for children up to three years old. There is also a small selection of maternity clothes for moms-to-be.
In exchange for the items used, parents receive a certain number of stamps. Participating in the activities of the Educator's Shop, the Toddler's Nest or the Playcard can also earn extra stamps. Full savings cards are given to organizations that work with underprivileged people so that they can help families from the target group.
Het Wisselke has been working on child poverty and sustainability in Hasselt since 2015. In addition to the store, a meeting space is also provided, where families can meet.
