SkiLi is the first company to rent ski clothing in Europe. It was founded in 2013 by three friends in their twenties. They raised €10,000 between them to buy ski gear and offer it out via an online rental site. In their first season, they rented out 150 items. The target for SkiLi’s second winter was 500 articles.
Customers indicate on the website when they are going on holiday and select what they wish to hire. SkiLi then sends out the ski clothing. The customer then returns everything using the return label when they return.
The first target group for SkiLi were children at ski schools. Rental is ideal for them as they quickly grow out of their clothing.
The company now offers ski clothing for adults, and sends items abroad. Hiring a ski jacket for ten days costs about €40 for adults, and between €20 and €30 for children. Shipments and returns are free above a total price of €45.
SkiLi has now also concluded a contract with Thomas Cook and Neckermann. Customers in Belgium or Netherlands who book ski holidays are automatically offered the chance to hire ski clothing via SkiLi.
