Kringwinkels - second-hand shops

Social project to give old stuff a new lease of life

Second-hand shops select, sort and repair discarded items and sell them in their different branches. All items have been donated and they are often picked up at home.

In Flanders these second-hand shops are called Kringwinkels, and they are an integral part of the social economy, since they mainly employ people with limited opportunities on the labour market. Their affordable prices also allow the underprivileged to purchase basic household supplies at cheap prices. There are about 125 Kringwinkels in Flanders.
